BDTV

Ben Davis Television

BDTV was resurrected in the 2002-03 school year. Since then BDTV scholars have turned their passions into professions! BDTV is a student-led, project based learning class that serves as a broadcasting/production facility.

There are former BDTV students working in news stations, film production agencies, and corporate initiatives throughout the world. Ben Davis Television (BDTV) has been consistently recognized in state, regional, national and international competitions/achievements. BDTV has produced a Youth International Student Journalist of the Year, won 11 Student Television Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), numerous IASB (Indiana Association of School Broadcasters) awards earning “Television School of the Year” in 2004, The Woman’s Press Club, and recognized by the City-County Council of the city of Indianapolis and of Marion County.

Our motto is “How can BDTV inform, educate, and entertain the world about all of the positive things happening in Wayne Township and Central Indiana?” We will continue to practice and master diligence, discipline, and effort in order to create content managers and agents of change. The BDTV Legacy tree will continue to bear fruit!
